User Guide(IX): Mastering Multi-Perspective Illustrations with Visual Electric
Introduction
Welcome back, animation enthusiasts! If you've aced the rigging and retargeting covered in our previous guide, get ready for the next exhilarating chapter as we venture into the art of crafting multi-perspective illustration views using a 3D model and high-quality backgrounds generated by Midjourney, which can be achieved through three primary methods: Visual Electric, ComfyUI/WebUI with ControlNet, and the traditional Photoshop method with Generative Fill. We'll take Visual Electric as an example in this tutorial.
Visual Electric
Visual Electric is an online tool that can blend and redraw images on a blank canvas. Here's how to use it:
- Start by uploading your image. Select the character image and click 'Remove Background' on the right to automatically extract the character and eliminate unwanted background.
- Move the character in front of the background image. Adjust the position and size of the character. If it's behind the background, use the keyboard shortcuts '[' or ']' to change the layer order.
- Select both the background and the character, then click 'Collage' on the right. Adjust the 'Creativity' setting (lower values stay closer to the original image). 'Photography' lets you choose the blending style, and 'colors' allows you to specify the colors for blending (multiple selections possible).
- Click the ⚡️ lightning button to create your image.

Enhanced image quality, even at lower Creativity settings.
If you're looking to improve the image quality, you can use the Upscale tool Magnific AI, which I've shared about previously. Select 'Optimized for 3D Render' (though you're welcome to experiment with other settings). After enlarging the image twice, you'll notice a significant enhancement in the details, as shown in the following image:
